Рассмотрена роль инноваций в устойчивом функционировании АПК. Выделены типы инноваций и отмечаются ограничения инновационного развития на основании состояния инновационной деятельности. Показаны возможности и проблемы инновационного развития АПК региона. Оценка развития АПК в регионе свидетельствует, что активизация инновационной деятельности без реализации целей системы мер оздоровления, восстановления становится затруднительной. Выделяются основные концептуальные направления активизации инновационной деятельности, приоритеты. Показана роль государства в инновационном процессе.	The role of innovations in the sustainable operation of the agro-food complex (AFC) is studied. Types of innovations and innovative development restrictions are singled out on the basis of the current state of the innovation activity. The opportunities and challenges of innovative development of the regional AFC are shown. The analysis of the regional AFC development indicates that intensifying the innovation activity without implementing the system of recovery measures is problematic. Some major conceptual ways and priorities of intensifying the innovation activity are singled out. The role of the state in the innovation process is shown
